Halloween 2008

Wow... we had a lot going on this FALL season. Last week we tried Boo at the Zoo for the first time. It was a great time. Both boys got another chance to wear the costumes they love, plus they got candy.... what more could you expect for a great evening!
On Halloween night, we took the kids to Kris's parents' church for a mini fall harvest celebration after visiting with my grandparents. Then, we went to Garrett's friend's house for a party. This was our first Halloween party... or any kind of official "party" Garrett has been to that wasn't a birthday celebration. There were about 20 kids there and they had a blast! As you can see below, my husband dressed up to scare the kids in the "haunted trail" that was set up at our friends' house where we had the party. It was a great night!

We didn't trick-or-treat this year, but the alternative was much better!
Some of the kids at the party.

Garrett, Ethan, and Turner at Boo at the Zoo.

Daddy with Ethan sitting at the bonfire at the party.

My adorable pirates! ARRR... Mateys.

The photogenic one. Always ready for a photo op!

The pirates with my grandparents on Halloween evening before the party.

The only close up I have... kind of blurry, and before the fake beards were drawn on!

Daddy's "scary" mask. You can tell Ethan doesn't like being this close to him with the mask on!
I hope everyone out there that keeps up with this had a happy, safe, and fun-filled Halloween!
